Expandable bolt also known as hydraulic expansion bolt, is double-layer tubular bolts made from seamless steel pipes with an outer diameter larger than the anchor hole diameter.
After the steel pipe is placed into the anchor bolt hole, high pressure water is used to make it expand. During the expansion process, the water expanding anchor bolt deforms, and the wall of the anchor bolt pipe completely adheres to the irregular hole wall of the anchor bolt hole. The frictional force and self-locking force generated along the entire length of the anchor bolt thereby reinforce the rock mass.
It has the advantages of simple construction, full-length anchoring and strong anchoring force.It is widely applied in mine roof support, various tunnel support, open-pit coal mine and highway slope support, etc., and the support effect is very good.
Upgrade expandable bolt with non-return valve which limits "spring-back" giving increased pull-out resistance and keeps high strength expansion.
